Last Sunday i went to mass twice.  Both priests suggested that we spend some time on Thanksgiving thanking God for the blessings He has bestowed on us.  I couldn't do that yesterday, i was too busy arguing with one of my blessings about how hard she was working.  i woke up this morning in my big warm comfortable bed, listening to my grandson babbling in his crib, music to my ears.  He's the first thing i'm thankful for.
Soon, i hear my daughter and her boyfriend arguing about going shopping today, Black Friday, the most shopped day of the year.  Do i want to throw them out, yes.  Am i thankful every day that they live with us, yes.  They are after all the parents of this beautiful baby.  The next person i thank God for is Felix.  I met him in 1980 and we've been together every day since.  Trace it back, Gianna's Father, Fransisco's  grandfather.
No matter how bad things are, Felix is there, never loosing hope.  The next thing i thank God for is my faith in the Catholic Church.  Does the church have problems, yes.  But there are two things that keep me in the Catholic church, proud to be Catholic.  Papa Fransisco and the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, i thank God for that. Not to mention some of the wonderful priests and nuns i have met over the years.  Sister Dorothy,Sister Trinitas,  Sister Margeritte, Father Peter Pollo, Father Mariano Cisco, Father Ed St Godard, Father Mike Cashman, Father Jay Johnson, Father Ray Leonard, Father John Gloss, Father Greg Urhig and Father Hank Hilton.  The Catholic Church also gave me the awesome knowledge of the Fransiscan Friars of the Renewal and the Jesuits.
Then there are my friends and extended family, my sister and her husband.

Then there's my crazy dog oreo.  If i were a dog i'd be oreo.  He has huge separation issues, is an anxious nut, lives to eat, sleep and be around people he loves.   That's his life and mine, too. And i thank God everyday  for it.
